made under Italian Sun
crafted by skilled artisans
our approach
We created Sole Mio Studios with the intention of working closely with artisans in the regions where each craft naturally belongs. By doing so, we preserve the integrity of the process while supporting the communities that have shaped it over time.
Every piece is made in small quantities, with attention to detail at every stage. The result is a collection that feels considered, authentic, and designed to last beyond a single season. Our vision is to create artisan-made lifestyle pieces that bring the warmth, colour, and spirit of Italy into everyday life. Each item is crafted with intention and designed to be worn and used regularly, not reserved for special occasions.

Roberto: the maker of our Raffia bag
Each Sole Mio Studios raffia bag begins just outside of Florence, a region long celebrated for its tradition in leatherwork and artisanal craftsmanship. Our bags are handcrafted here using traditional techniques that reflect the heritage of the region.
Roberto is one of the artisans behind our first collection. Coming from a family that has worked in leather goods and traditional straw bag making since 1964, he grew up learning techniques that have been passed down through generations.
Each bag is created through a specialised process where wheat straw braids are carefully sewn together to form the basket shape, before being reinforced with leatherworking techniques and finished by hand. Known locally as “Florentine straw,” this craft remains unique to the Florence area and is practiced by very few artisans today.
Throughout production, every piece passes through Roberto’s hands, giving each Sole Mio Studios bag its own unique character.

Giorgia: the maker of our jewellery
Each Sole Mio Studios jewellery piece is handcrafted in Vicenza, a region long recognised for its heritage in Italian goldsmithing and artisanal craftsmanship.
Our Sun Pendant and Sun Earrings are created by skilled artisans using traditional techniques combined with modern production methods, balancing precision, quality, and timeless design.
Paolo and his daughter Georgia are the artisans behind our first jewellery collection. Raised in a family deeply connected to jewellery making since the 1960s, Paolo grew up surrounded by engraving, sculpture, and traditional goldsmithing techniques passed down through generations. After years creating one-of-a-kind pieces alongside his father Antonio, he expanded his workshop by bringing together a team of specialised artisans while continuing to preserve the craftsmanship and attention to detail behind each piece.
Together, Paolo and Georgia continue this legacy with a refined, modern approach to production. Each piece is carefully finished by hand and produced in small batches in Vicenza, Italy.
